  • Memorial Weekend Plans??

Just curious what my online audio buddies will be doing for the the weekend....

We went to the lake this last weekend, but pretty much only to get a camping spot reserved for this weekend (weird state park rules...) so we are going camping on Tenkiller Lake for 4 days. Water is waaay high from all the rain, but still nice and very clear considering.

....I guess you call it camping...we are staying in my uncle's "spare" 40 foot Monaco....:smoke1:

The nation's two largest home improvement stores, Lowe's and Home Depot, are again offering a 10-percent military discount for Memorial Day.

    Guess I am going shopping:huge:

Should be a 50% discount. Thanks, to all of you, for what you do.

Does that military discount stack with the 10% mover coupon they offer for free on their web site? If so you can get 20% off.

My wife and I will be headed to Richmond, VA to visit her sister's family for the weekend. We'll pobably head up to DC and hit a couple of Smithsonion museums with her kids.

My wife has a cousin in the area who is in the army. Maybe well tell him that to honor himself he should go use his 10% discount with my 10% coupon and get me a cheap weed whacker... :poke:

I'll be doing both...I'll ride the MC to the lakehouse. Ride during the day, and drink during the evening hours. The weather is suppose to be beautiful but the water here in northern Indiana is freaking COLD still.

Water is cold, but not as bad as I'd expect. I was able to wade in over my knees without a problem. My son and friends went swimming though....dumbasses.

Oldest son graduates from Rutgers Thursday with a degree in Chemical Engineering. We will be having a BIG party on Saturday to celebrate. If you'd seen him when he graduated high school, you'd appreciate why we're so excited to be celebrating this event.

And he has an Engineering job lined up, although it's kinda cheating because he's worked there off & on for last 4 years prior to graduating.

Audio wise, i just hooked up the old SAE 2400L power amp to the Rocket 850s and still using the Yamaha 1800 to power Bigfoot and the 4 rears. Like what I'm hearing so far and will be able to really crank it up this weekend.

Garden wise, I rototilled last weekend and will be planting tomatos, peppers, eggplants, green beans, okra, lettuce, basil, cilantro, etc. this weekend. Garlic already about 2 feet high.

Oh and playing golf on Monday. First time out this year.

Going to slow cook some baby back ribs on the grill (about 3 1/2 hours...fall off the bone tender), consume massive quantities of beer and maybe take some more refraction shots (depends on whether it rains).
