As the playoffs are now in full swing and my Jazz are out I am planning on sitting back and watch King James and the Cavs go on to his first NBA Title. I never thought the Jazz would get past the Lakers especially with how horribly we had been playing toward the end of the regular season. The Lakers are the real deal and should go onto the Western Conference finals. I personally will not watch much of the rest of the playoffs until both West/East finals and then the championship series. How do you guys think this is all going to play out?

Well, I hope you're right about that first NBA title, but as a Cleveland sports fan, you'll have to forgive me if I don't count on it. Too many disappointments in the 55 years I've been following Cleveland sports.
I don't follow the Western conference much, but I'd be surprised if the Lakers don't win the West. I think the Cavs will handle their next opponent, but the Conference finals could be interesting if it's Boston or Orlando. Having home court advantage will help.
I think it will be the Cavs and the Lakers in the finals. The Cavs will have home court advantage and a team chemistry the like of which I've never seen. Oh, and they'll have some guy named James. However, the Lakers will have Kobe and the experience. I think experience will trump home court, but that chemistry is a wild card the effect of which is tough to estimate.Jack -
Cleveland Rocks! :woo:
I think it will be Cavs/Lakers as well, and I think that at this point the cavs are the better team overall, but it would be a great series to watch.
Being a cleveland sports fan also, I have to believe that if a cleveland sports franchise were about to win a championship aliens would show up to destroy earth at the last moment, or an earthquake would destroy the arena, or Tonya Harding would bash LBJ's knee or something terrible and random would happen. (earnest byner, jose mesa, john elway, etc...)Comment

Cavs v Lakers does seem destined to occur. I'm sure the NBA and ABC are pulling hard for Kobe and The King to match up. I think the Lakers will prevail. Better supporting cast, Bynum should be somewhat back into form by then, and Kobe has to win a ring without Shaq to validate his own greatness. As it turns out, I was never banned. I was wrong yet again. First Obama, now this. :)Comment

Unlikely, the Cavs will never take Lakers to 7 games.
I'm aghast the Celts didn't close out the Bulls in 4 games, it was there for the taking. There's a fine line between gardening and Madness.

Bruins play the whalers in the 2nd round which I don't see that going more then 5 games.
Sox sweep the Yanks but aren't showing up in Cleveland at all. Although our bullpen seems to be the best in baseball and we thrash opposing BP's too.
Pats, just got done with the draft and it's interesting to see BB stack picks year after year and get value for the long term.
I'm headed up to Seattle for the series up there in a couple weeks. What could be better then being a Boston sports fan? Absolutely Nothing!"Arguing on the internet is like trying to make sense out of Bupkiss. You just end up looking foolish". ---Craigsub 04.21.2009Comment
