One of our IT guys looked over my hosed laptop and talked with Dell. Dell diagnostics indicated a failing hard drive. This was Tuesday afternoon. Dell said they would ship a replacement HDD that would get here Thur or Friday. Get this...the replacement HDD arrived before noon on *Wed*.
Popped in the new HDD and all is well!
I cannot say that Dell would handle every situation like this, but I do have to give them kudos for taking care of me and in rapid fashion.
