  • Funny misheard lyrics

I can't believe I've never come across this website before:

KissThisGuy.com is a social website dedicated to misheard song and music lyrics.

I've nearly fallen out my chair laughing a couple of times and have gone through a box of tissues this is so funny.

Share good ones if you've got 'em.
    So say we all.

I fell for this one for years

    1. wrapped up like a douche

one of the most commonly misinterpreted rock lyrics in the last century. the actual lyric is “revved up like a duece, another runner in the night”, but it really sounds like “wrapped up like a douche”, the song is “Blinded by the Light” by Bruce Springsteen.

If you listen closely to Metallica's St. Anger, it sounds like they're really saying "We ****ing suck" the entire time.

LOL. With that song, it's definitely accurate.

I thought for years that Dire Straits was singing "Money for nothing, and your checks for free." Every time I ordered a new box of checks I thought about how those guys got their "checks for free." :D

Do any of the "younger" guys know what a "deuce coop" is? I didn't...

With the "Excuse me while I kiss this guy" example... I swear that Hendrix says that in a live version that I have heard several times. Not sure where to get a sample of it. In the studio version, I can clearly hear "Excuse me while I kiss the sky" but in the live version, I actually think he is saying "this guy".

                        **Edit**

I think the live version of the song in Guitar Hero:World Tour says it... but not sure where the recording came from.

The Creedence song Bad Moon Rising has the lyric "Theres a bad moon on the rise" which shows up on lists like these as "Theres a bathroom on the right".

Fogerty often sings that version of the line in concert these days. By the way, he still puts on an outstanding show.

In Elton John's "Tiny Dancer", isn't he saying, "Hold me close young Tony Danza?"

I had a friend who used to razz me for singing Peter Gabriel's "Games Without Frontiers" with the line 'whistling tunes we piss on the goons in the jungle' instead of 'kissing baboons'

Turns out I was basically right!! One of the lines DOES say that, per the lyrics....

My wife gets lyrics wrong all the time.....one of my favorites of hers is the Beatles' song she sings as 'O-la-di, O-la-da, my cousin, BRA, la la la la.....'

She's too cute when she does that....
What if the Hokey-Pokey really IS what it's all about?!

                              Kinky Tom!
