  • LED Ambient lighting options

In preparation for the arrival of my Emotiva setup I want to get some LED lights in Blue. I have been looking around and really can't find ****. So figure I'd ask here. I'm going for something like this:

But my thought process is I can build some kind of box so the only shine up and they won't be omni-directional. They will be hidden behind the my LCD panel so doesn't really matter if they are just a bulb or a strip. Anybody got any ideas. I think it was Arthurs who had those sweet lamps but I don't recall the name of them and can't I find the thread he posted them nor do I think they are still available in the states.

    Any ideas fellas?

Are you looking for a DIY option or an off the shelf product you can build your box around? Here's a list of 200+ blue LEDs if you want to build your own.

I could do a lot of things if I had some money.

Damnit.. If only I had a local Ikea. Anybody willing to help a fellow TCA member out?

Here's the lights in question. I think if you mail them they will ship into the US...

You could also fix rope lighting under shelves and behind cabinets, that would give you the effect in the picture...here's some

You da man. Thanks! The Chameledeon lights are what I'm looking for.

Not so sure I could go with rope lights without building the boxes because my console is glass and I want the lighting to be kind of directional. Here's a pic of when I had the ELT's which have since been replaced with Statiks.

I get my LEDs from http://www.superbrightleds.com/

Haven't had any problems with them the two times I got stuff and they pretty much have everything.
