  • American Cancer Society Needs Your Help

    Hey all!

Most of you may be aware of the American Cancer Society's Coaches vs. Cancer program. I am lucky enough to be a member of a small new offshoot of this committee based out of NYC. I lost my aunt (who practically raised me until I was 18) to uterine cancer about 5 years ago so gettiing to be a part of this means a lot to me personally. While Coaches vs. Cancer has historically been partnered with basketball, our Coaches vs. Cancer committee is partnering with the NFL/Football to run events and raise money for cancer awareness, research, and medical care. Out inaugural event (Kick-off Against Cancer) is July 19, 2011 at the Crimson Club in NYC. It's 4 hours of open bar and food and special guests like Maurice Jones Drew of the Jacksonville Jaguars, Matthew Berry of ESPN, and more to come. There will also be raffles and silent auctions.

Being a non-profit, we are always in need of help from companies, businesses, etc... for help which is why I am reaching out to all of you. If you have any contacts or leads that could help out in any of the following areas, I'd be greatly appreciative. We need companies/businesses/individuals that would be interested in:

    Sponsorship of the event
Donations of auction items or raffle items or simple monetary donations
    Liquor Sponsor
Hotels to comp rooms for special guests
    Media
    etc...

Any helpful info or contacts that you can provide would go a long way. I can provide more info to anybody that needs it.

And of course, buy a ticket and come hang out if you're in the area. :D

    ACS Coaches vs. Cancer

If you're in town, buy a ticket and come hang out with NFL players and ESPN analysts as you eat and drink for 4 hours of open bar. Donations are also welcome.

Still looking for sponsors, raffle items, etc...
