  • How close is the moho rosa to rosewood?

I've got the ELT tower package and although I have a decent sub I'm really thinkin about picking up that diamond that is now on special. That said, I could go for the satin too if that would work out better but the diamond is said to be in 'perfect' condition.

And yes fella's I am still buying av123 products. :sly:

You may get close in tone, but it is really a crap shoot, as even Rosewood can vary pretty greatly between runs, from lighter browner/oranger to much more dramatic red. The nice thing is that Moho grain varies from light to dark, so hopefully you'll get some matching rosewood tones somewhere in there.

To me, the moho rosa diamond finish is nothing short of amazing. And, the diamond finish is said to protect the wood longer from temp and humidity changes.
As it turns out, I was never banned. I was wrong yet again. First Obama, now this. :)

It does vary dramatically on the speakers. I had a pair of X-SLS's in Moho Rosa shipped to me by accident instead of the Moho Natural. I have to say it is a nice looking veneer, however it didn't come close to the Rosewood on the Rockets that my friend had.

Again this probably does vary drastically so YMMV.

I bet the Diamond Moho De Rosa is beautiful though.

Do we know of any pics in the diamond moho rosa exist?

Moho Rosa is much browner in my case.
Apparently you just got hypothetically banned by the unnamed new mods for the AV123.com forum that are working to clean the forums up on a forum that is currently closed. Sucks to be you :bite me:

Rosewood is red. Moho Rosa is more yellow to me.

The Omni's I have in Moho de Rosa are similar hues to the Rosewood Mini's, Refs, and UFW-12 I have, but they're not similar in color. The Rosewoods are somewhere between red and maroon, and the Omni's are brown. Both are nice, but not the same.

My experience with rosewood so far has been the same as everyones... it varies greatly by run. I have a pair of ref .5's that you would look at and call red, a ref center that is a bit darker, 4 rocket 450's that I wouldn't even see why anyone would say that they even had red in them... and the rocket center is basically what I would consider standard rosewood, inbetween the 450's and the ref center.
