  • Servo Sub?

Has anyone heard the GR servo subs?

I think an infinite baffle servo sub just might be the ticket for me. Clean tight bass without the room shaking.

Danny had the open baffle servo sub at RMAF2008. Sounded very good with the X-Statiks in his room.

I really want to try a pair of them with the NEO2X's. :)

I've been itching to try a few of Danny's servo subs too. I liked what I heard at the RMAF!

If you haven't heard a clean OB/IB sub before, then you've been drinking decaf the whole time :neener:

My cheap OB subs (not GR Research) make my pair of SVS Ultra cylinders sound bad above 25hz or so. Unfortunately, there isn't any readily available OB solution to hit as low as the boxes can.

Yeah, I know I am totally in the minority. I want to hear my bass not feel it and I hate rattles and bothering my neighbors cause I can actually rattle their windows too. :hissyfit:

edit: they don't make houses with basements in California, then I would probably sing a different tune.

                      A fantactic unit!

I have the GR Servo Sub (paper driver) in a sealed cabinet and it's an amazing unit. It dethroned my Vandersteen 2W sub - not only in speed, accuracy and control of lower frequencies, but also on how the plate amp could help with room issues. GR and Rhythmic partnering up on this project was an excellent hookup. :huge:

                        Servo versus Non-servo TWO products

Since I am interested in this subject I Started a new thread on two other BRANDS, I learned about yesterday. Since they involve the topic of "servo" versus "non-servo", I thought it best to make a new thread, here:
