Should I get a sub? If so, a Dayton?

Currently running PC -> udac 2 -> TCA Gizmo -> TCA WAF-1s. The sound is great, but I'm wondering if I should add a sub? As you can tell, I'm on a bit of a budget.



My concern is placement: I'm in a dorm room, so it would either have to be under my desk in the footwell or on the floor surrounded by other things. Would that affect the acoustics too much to warrant the sub? I don't boom my music or consider myself a bass head, but if it's worth it I could justify dropping the cash on one of the smaller Dayton subs.

I bought an Emotiva 10" sub (old finish) when they were on sale for the same application.

It is a little boomy in it's corner placement under a desk.
But, still worth it for adding impact -- in my opinion.
WAF-1's by themself do sound good in a small-ish room as well.

You obviously aren't looking for max SPL in the office environment, just a little added bass extension.
