  • It was only a matter ot time......

Yesterday marked the day I felt was coming all along. I got Schifter'd!

One of my ULW-10 MLS Signature editions started whistling. I don't believe I've read of this particular issue before and at first it threw me, but sure enough a random whistling sound was coming from the unit. I switched to my other sub and finished my movie.

For me these are really ideal subs....well except for the problem with the amp. I'm satisfied with the sound they produce and the foot print fits my needs. Outside of the Dayton "drop in" amp so many people are opting for is there any other options for the ULW that more closely resemble the supposed 500W monster these were supposed to have?

I was really wanted to have it at RMAF last weekend, but when I would have had to overnight the driver to me just to get things in progress, I decided not to kill myself to try and get it done.

This is the NEXT thing as I am currently working on it.
I own a UFW-10 and this is very interesting news indeed!

Please keep us informed of your progress towards upgrading the UFW/ULW-10 subs.

I wasn't aware that a version for the UFW/ULW 10 was planned, thought it was just for the UFW12 and MFW. That's good to know and I'll certainly keep checking in. With any luck perhaps my other ULW and my original UFW amps will hold up until they are available.

            hmmmm weird!

These posts are jumbled around a bit or....maybe I've finally completely lost it!

I thought when I replied earlier today that the only other post was from Mike_TX. I'm certain I posted prior to 4:30 Eastern.

Not that's it's a big deal, but it threw me a bit when I read this.

Back on topic, I look forward to seeing your new amp for these.

We have decided to put the CS-10.2 at $400. Not sure if this will help anyone, but I have had Quad UFW-10's here, and the single CS-10.2 does more than the Quads ever did.

Wow that is a big cut in the price from where it was! Makes using dual 10.2 in stereo as stands with PRO-10 or SHO-10 on top one heck of a deal for an awesome stereo setup. Would be nice to see some reviews on it from people who have them.

Yes, that makes it feasible to give random gifts to subwooferless people!

Are these driver/amp upgrades or just amps or both?

As for the 10.2 that is a great price and it's not to much larger than my stacked ULW's. Hopefully at that price these will get out in the field more quickly and people will take notice of Chase products that haven't already heard of them.

For now I'll wait and see what Sandbagger's offerings are and most likely stick with what I've got, at least for the time being. These smaller AV123 subs have high WAF, it's just to bad the amps are so problematic.

You don't know if that helps??????

You big PITA, it helps me to further lose my mind as to what to do next, fix the UFW-10 that's begun to whistle with a PE amp, or...........

                        I hate you.
