If these amps need further tweaking (not expected), the owners of the beta subs will be provided with the final production amp, when available, at our expense.
How long is the beta testing projected to run? (To be clear, I am inquiring about CS10.2 only.)

Edit: Scratch that. I re-read what you said in a previous reply. I think I am now clear on what your plans are.

my understanding of the situation is that Craig has tested and is confident in the cabinets and drivers. He was not 100% happy with the last versions of the amps so he is running the beta program.

I also believe that Craig said the beta amps would be replaced with new ones if there are changes made to the production subs. In otherwords if Craig does not sign off on the beta amps for any reason, defective or sub optimal, you will get a new production amp.

I haven't been to your website in probably almost a year. I have a bookmark for your forum.

Betas I have been involved with in the past uncovered not only defects but also sub-optimal components/configurations. Just because a component is sub-optimal, it does not mean it is defective.

If during the beta you find that the amp or the driver could be better if some small mods were made to their designs, would you consider those components to be defective?

Please excuse all of my questions - I am trying to make sure I understand what I am signing up for if I buy v1 of cs10.2.

Applicable to all components such as the driver and the cabinet as well? Also, what about optimization that you decide to make as part of what you learn during the beta?

The subs are being produced next door, so it isn't like going back and forth to China. Amp is also US made.

OH ... and if there is a problem with the amp that needs addressed, a replacement amp will be provided at our expense.

Will that be the case here? If so, will TCA wait until beta is complete and appropriate adjustments are made before making cs10.2 production or should we be expecting a v1.1 patch on top of v1?

As you know, we've already hit a few snags on the bumpy road to production. As a result, I'm hesitant to even imply a time frame. However, as we resolve each issue, fewer things which can throw a monkey wrench into our plans remain. We are tantalizingly close to production.
IF things go as hoped/anticipated/expected, the answer to your question is a resounding YES!
Doesn't beta testing usually precede production?
