  • ACI Force XL

    Hi,

Has anyone heard the ACI Force XL?

If so, what did you think of it.

I'd be using it in a 2.1 channel system in a fairly small room (11x14x8).

I'm also considering the The LFM-1 Plus Subwoofer.

    It'll be used in a music/HT setup.

    Any help would be great.

I will be buying a pair of TCA subs when they're available, but I need something to hold me off until then.

ACI states it can go down to 20Hz. Seems pretty good for a 10".

I think any of the Rythmik subs is a much better deal for music:

The Reference Standard for Bass Accuracy Rythmik subwoofers feature patented Direct Servo technology which provides major advantages to more common accelerometer based servo systems. Direct Servo uses a very thin sensing coil which is wound adjacent to the voice coil. This coil acts as a custom made microphone which cr

I sound like a broken record, but Danny has a package deal on the GR/Rythmic servo subs:

I'd love one of Danny's subwoofers, but the girlfriend doesn't like them.

She doesn't want a "black box" as she puts it and wants something to match the furniture and my Tiny Dancers.

Black box, how about this. :)

That is the cool thing about DIY, you can make or have made exactly what you want and be as involved as much or little as you want.
I really want to do an OB sub, but I think it just won't work for me and I will work off John's design to come up with a dual 12" sanbox that is integrated into component rack / center channel stand. :smoke1:

That is an impressive design, but I don't see myself building anything in the near future.

I ordered a LFM-1 Plus, but I tired of waiting for it:(

              Thanks for the help.

I have the LFM-1EX and it is a great sub, close specs to the Plus. Did you notice the LFM-1EX n the classifieds? Outlaw has a fully transferable warranty.

I did consider it, but it might be a little more bass than I want/need.

                  But then again....

one of my buddies have an ACI Force, it seems to hit harder than my ULW10's but then again his room is about half the size of my living room and the building is a lot more solid... I know it's more powerful than the original ULW10 he had, but with the new amp mine are way better too!

he had to work harder to get it to blend as well as the ULW I know that much.

Was it the Force or the Force XL?
