Today I received my M200MkII from TAO and right out of the box I was impressed with the quality of the product. The two speakers are solid craftmanship and garnered some "oooh's and ahh's" from friends already just by appearance alone. They were enclosed in cloth/cotton draw-string bags which was then protected by foam grips in the shipping box. I will admit, the lack of a manual concerned me though. But the speakers were easy enough to hookup to my computer, so no harm no foul.
Sound quality?
Wow...
Every song I played sounded differently than on my old 2.1 Logitech speakers. And the fact the Swans didn't get distorted at higher volumes impressed me even further. Everything was clear and crisp, and the bass ratio was perfect!
These speakers no doubt have my recommendation, and TheAudioInsider's customer service gets high marks too. It is nice getting the same person (Jon) whenever you call about something, and he comes across genuine to his customers as well.
After I've used the speakers for a few weeks I shall come back and post a follow-up.
