  • A3rx-c Optional Mass Loaded sub-enclosure

Just thought I would let anybody whom was curious that the enclosure took 22.5#s of #30 silica sand to fully fill.

So that makes these towers 62+ lbs and very stable!

Perfect for my house filled with 4 kids under 10 years old!

Did you notice any change in sound after filling?

I haven't heard them yet because I can't find where I placed the little plastic plugs to hold the sand in... arghh.

I doubt there is going to be a audible sonic difference but I will remain open to listening impressions. My reasoning was for a more secure speaker that will not be easily toppled.

Just thought I would update from awhile back. I found the plugs and I have been continuing to enjoy my ARX speakers. I didn't personally hear a difference but I wasn't critically listening to them trying to find a difference rather than just enjoying the quality of it all.
