I've got D*tv hooked up to an HR22 and HDMI directly to my Onk and was wondering if anyone else gets the pops.. It's very slight but while listening to radio channels I hear a slight pop.. I know it's not my receiver or anything like that cuz it doesn't do that while playing music via my PS3, My Sony OTA DVR doesn't do it either, nor does it do with my iPod or my computer directly. Was wondering if anyone has run into the same issue.. I can hear it most when at loud volumes obviously and I know the receiver isn't clipping but damn it's annoying...

I have DTV but I have never experienced an issue such as you are describing. Have you tried swapping the HDMI cable and/or port it is connected to your AVR with? -

What receiver are you guys running?
I tried a different cable but not a different port.. I might have to try that one... I don't listen to D*tv's XM channels very often because I prefer Pandora (paying customer for the higher bitrate) but it's kinda annoying hearing the pops when I know it's not my system..."Arguing on the internet is like trying to make sense out of Bupkiss. I have an HR21 going by Coax to an Emotiva LMC-1; no pops. And An SD box going to a H/K AVR-525; no pops.
Sounds like you might wat to try calling DirecTV and swapping out your box.Comment

I tried a different port earlier today and still no dice.. Thinking it's something with the receiver because I am starting to notice it more when I switch some channels mostly from SD to HD... I never noticed this before because I usually use the guide to switch channels and go directly to HD to HD..."Arguing on the internet is like trying to make sense out of Bupkiss. I have been a DirecTv customer since the beginning. Been through a lot of receivers and DVR's over the years. I have mine hooked up to the TV via HDMI and an Outlaw Pre/pro 770 with amps with a coax and have never had a problem.
